Clearly printed name and address listings in label or directory format can quickly and cost effectively be
scanned and converted into a variety of database file formats. Our Optical Character Recognition (OCR) service can process the scanned
images, identify the machine-printed text and output an ASCII text file. From there, our data specialists take over to parse this
unfielded data into its individual components (i.e. first & last name, address lines, etc.) which will be used to create the database file.

Standard name & address zoning templates are applied to the mailing label or directory listing to identify individual name and
address blocks. The templates can be customized to remove Postnet barcodes and other unwanted address lines. OCR recognition results require little to no editing for
clearly printed lists as accuracy often exceeds 99%.

Optical character recognition results in a line oriented ASCII text file. The next step is to identify and separate individual database
records. After that, name & address lines are parsed into separate fields including prefix, first name, last name, delivery address(es) and City/State/Zip.
