Duplicate Elimination Overview

Identify and eliminate duplicate records within a single file or across multiple files. We employ sophisticated matching algorithms specifically designed for names & addresses which recognize nicknames, common misspellings, and individual address components. We offer three standard types of duplicate elimination which are detailed below as well as any custom criteria that you can come up with.

Dedupe by Individual

Ensure your mailing only sends one mail piece per person with our individual duplicate elimination. This type of dedupe compares last name, first name, and delivery address when determining a duplicate record. 

Dedupe by Family

Ensure your mailing only sends one mail piece per family with our family duplicate elimination. This type of dedupe compares last name and delivery address when determining a match, not first names.

Dedupe by Household

Ensure your mailing only sends one mail piece per address with our household duplicate elimination. This type of dedupe compares only delivery addresses when determining a match, not names. If there is secondary address information present in the record (i.e. apartment number, rural route box number, highway contract box number, etc.), they must match exactly to be considered in the same household.

Custom Setups

We also provide custom matching options to suit your project goals. Define custome matching criteria to include telephone numbers, account numbers, email addresses, or just about anything. Have a preference on which record to keep and which to drop? We can prioritize your dedupe by file or by coding each record based on your criteria. We are also able to do list suppression, list intersection, track source codes for each list, and consolidate important customer information that is carried on multiple lists.
